RV and Oversized Vehicles

In response to the widespread and significant number of complaints regarding recreational and oversized vehicles utilizing multiple parking spaces and dumping trash illegally, parking RVs on city streets is prohibited and oversized/commercial vehicles are limited to 1-hour parking. This type of parking can create health and safety hazards, block lines of sight, and create ingress and egress obstructions for pedestrians, bicyclists, other drivers, and emergency vehicles.

Effective September 19, 2016:

RV's may not park on public streets citywide (except when a temporary permit has been issued by the Parking Services office).

Oversized vehicles & commercial vehicles may not park on public streets citywide for more than one (1) hour (except if actively loading or unloading).

Loading/unloading of large or heavy items including, without limitation, salvaged vehicles, vehicle parts, and heavy machinery, on the public streets is prohibited.

Warnings and informational flyers are being placed on vehicles that may be issued a citation once enforcement begins on September 19, 2016.  Vehicles in violation of the ordinance may be subject to citation and/or being towed.
