The City Hall building will be closed to the general public on Fridays from June 6, 2025 through August 29, 2025. San Rafael Community Centers, Libraries, Al Boro Parking Services, and all Public Safety services will remain open and maintain normal Friday hours.

City Wildfire Prevention Initiatives

The City takes wildfire prevention seriously. We are taking multiple steps to help keep our community safe and need your help too. With the recent passage of Measure C (the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority) in March 2020, the City now has funding for a variety of new projects to improve emergency preparedness and wildfire prevention efforts.  

Active MWPA projects include work in the open space to reduce hazardous fuels near homes, roads.
