The City’s administrative offices in City Hall, the San Rafael Public Library, and the City’s community centers will be closed on Thursday November 23 through Friday November 24 in observance of the holiday. 24-hour operations will remain in effect for the Police and Fire Departments.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission consists of citizen volunteers appointed by the City Council to make decisions or advise the Council on land use and property development issues. The Commission assures that new development is consistent with our long-range General Plan, State laws and other public policies that advance the interests of our community.
