Outdoor Recreation Class Rental

The City of San Rafael is committed to supporting our community with safe, engaging recreational opportunities during the COVID-19 public health crisis.

We also recognize that many of our local businesses are struggling to resume operations under the current restrictions. The City has developed a temporary outdoor class rental program to support San Rafael organizations and businesses that are looking to move their recreational classes outdoors, based on the County’s Guidelines for Outdoor Recreation Activity Businesses.

This is a temporary program that will be available for the duration of the Shelter in Place to support local businesses in offering outdoor recreational classes. It is a pilot program and we will be expanding available park sites, as we evaluate demand and operations of the program. Currently, the following outdoor spaces are available through this program:

  • Albert Park Lawn Area
  • Boro Community Center Deck
  • Falkirk Wedding Lawn
  • Terra Linda Basketball Court
  • Terra Linda Grassy Area
