Healthy cities have healthy tree canopies and San Rafael has been a Tree City for 36 years now! On Friday, October 20, at 11 a.m., San Rafael will celebrate by planting two Redwood trees at the Terra Linda Recreation Center. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Program and the National Association of State Foresters.
