On Friday, October 20th, at 11:00 am, San Rafael will celebrate its thirty sixth consecutive year as a Tree City USA. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Program and the National Association of State Foresters.
The Department of Public Works, Parks Division, has planned an Arbor Day tree planting ceremony at the Terra Linda Recreation Center, 670 Del Ganado Road, San Rafael. Please join us for the planting of two Redwood trees to replace two trees that were removed earlier this year.
