Residential Hazard Assessment Request

Over 8,600 parcels and lots in San Rafael are located in the High Fire Hazard - Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). We have recently added the Marinwood communities to our list.
The San Rafael Fire Department offers all residents located within the WUI a "Residential Fire Hazard" assessment. The assessment will help residents and firefighters identify risks and challenges to their homes and landscaping from wildfires. The service is provided at no cost.
The "Residential Fire Hazard" assessment includes:
-Exterior inspection of your home and surrounding vegetation.-Assessment of fire resistant building construction.-Building footprint and location (i.e. slope and aspect).-Available water supply.-San Rafael Homeowner's WUI guide.San Rafael READY, SET.....GO - 'Your Personal Wildfire Action Plan'.-Recommendations to lessen wildfire hazards on the property.
Please fill out the form below and submit it to the San Rafael Fire Department's Vegetation Management staff. If you have any additional questions, please call at (415)485-3457.
