Vehicle Maintenance

Posted on July 24, 2020

Vehicle Mechanic Angel Lopez has been working on the upfit of a newly acquired car for PD. This includes installing and wiring all the emergency lighting/siren and Police radio. DPW purchased this vehicle Certified Used from a Ford Dealer which saved the City half the cost of purchasing new. One of the many ways the Vehicle Maintenance Division is looking for savings during these tough economic times. Shout out to the PD for being open and willing to use a previously owned vehicle.

Vehicle Mechanic Jay Arieta performs some overdue maintenance on a street sweeper owned by the Town of Fairfax. Sweepers have a tough life and require constant maintenance to keep them up and running efficiently. The Vehicle Maintenance Division performs maintenance and repairs for a few different outside agencies and is always willing to take on more work. The revenue generated helps offset the Division’s operating budget
