How do I find out about delinquent property tax?

If you would like to find out if there are delinquent property taxes associated with your property you can look up your parcel number through Marin Map and then search for your property tax bills online. If you find that your property taxes are delinquent, you can pay them  online or by phone at 1-800-985-7277.

What is the paramedic tax and how do I pay it?

Residents and businesses located within San Rafael, Marinwood and unincorporated county islands within San Rafael pay a tax for emergency medical services (EMS) as a part of their property tax bill. How do I pay my ambulance bill?

The bill may be covered by your insurance and/or Paramedic Tax revenues. To find out if you owe anything, call the Fire Department at (415) 458-3304. How do I dispute a parking ticket?

Parking ticket appeals must be received in writing and within 35 days of getting the ticket. There’s a process for appeals, just in case we made a mistake (forgive us, we’re human).    

How do I pay my water bill?

You can pay your bill through Marin Municipal Water District’s (MMWD) online payment system. MMWD’s website has information on additional ways to pay your bill.

How can I get help filling out my tax return?

The city does not provide tax preparation services. Check the Tax-Aid  for their locations in Marin that provide free high-quality tax return preparation for Bay Area families with incomes less than $54,000. AARP also offers free tax preparation aid to people who are 50 years and older.  

How do I pay my income taxes?

You can find information about paying your federal income tax on the Internal Revenue Service website. Information about California State income tax can be found on the State Franchise Board website.
