The Tiscornia Marsh site covers 20 acres of tidal marsh and bay lands located north of East Canal Street. The marsh has experienced considerable erosion along its bayward edge and over the last 30 years, approximately three acres of the tidal marsh has been lost, dramatically impacting habitat for species. On Monday evening, the City Council will consider approving a letter of endorsement/support for an application to Measure AA funds for restoration.
