The Third Street Rehabilitation project (from Second-Fourth Street to Grand Avenue) is moving forward from the feasibility study and on to the environmental and design phase! Staff and the consultant team presented the feasibility study to City Council on June 3rd. After listening to comments from the community regarding the desire for a two-way bicycle connection on Third Street between Greenfield and First Street, City Council accepted the informational report. Staff issued a request for proposals this week and we look forward to receiving wonderful and brilliant proposals from interested consultant teams. The exciting part about this project is that it is being paid for with local funds. Therefore, there are no federal guidelines to follow other than complying with our funding partners from the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM). With any project this size, there will be more public outreach along the way. Stay tuned!
