THIS WEEK (March 7 – 11): The City’s contractor, Maggiora & Ghilotti, worked on locating existing underground utilities and identifying potential utility conflicts between Third Street between Brooks Street and E Street.

Maggiora & Ghilotti started the trenching and installation of the new Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) waterline from Lincoln Avenue to Lindaro Street and will continue to the west for the next month.

NEXT WEEK (March 14 – 18): Maggiora & Ghilotti will continue locating existing underground utilities in Third Street between Brooks Street and E Street.

Maggiora & Ghilotti will also be installing water connections on Cijos Street, Ritter Street, and Lootens Place. This work will require a lane closure on Third Street and detours on A Street, C Street, Cijos Street, D Street, E Street, and Fourth Street.

Ghilotti Bros. Inc., and St. Francis Electric will begin potholing to locate existing underground utilities at all the intersections for Second and Third Street between Marquard Avenue and Brooks Street.

Ghilotti Bros. Inc., will also be performing vegetation work on Second Street.

IMPACTS: Traffic Controls (temporary signs, message boards, traffic cones, delineators and detour signs) will be put in place to direct motorists through the work area. Curb parking spaces will be marked “No Parking.” There will be intermittent lane closures on Third Street and detours on A Street, C Street, Cijos Street, D Street, E Street, and Fourth Street.

The hours of work will be 6:00am – 3:00pm. on Third Street and 9:00am – 6:00pm on Second Street.
