The City of San Rafael sells tennis keys for the courts at Albert Park and Freitas Park annually. These courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the 2022-2023 season, Albert Park and Freitas Tennis Court Keys will be for sale at both the San Rafael Community Center (618 B Street) and Terra Linda Community Center (670 Del Ganado Road) beginning September 1st, 2022 during operating business hours Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm. Tennis Keys must be purchased in-person at either community center location and keys will be handed out to players at time of purchase. If you have any questions, please contact administrative staff at 415-485-3333.

Prices for July 2022-July 2023 Tennis Keys are as follows:

  • Residents $50 per key per year
  • Non-Residents $75 per key per year

Tennis Courts Access - Survey

The City of San Rafael is considering making changes to our current tennis court access system for Albert Park and Freitas Park Tennis Courts. Currently, access to these courts is restricted to those who purchase a court key for an annual fee. The City has received complaints that the gates are repeatedly vandalized, or that the gates have been propped open, and is considering removing the locks. There will be an opportunity for public comment at that meeting, and the agenda packet and information about how you can participate will be posted to our Park and Recreation Commission webpage at least 72-hours prior to the meeting.
