SMART’s contractors have hit the ground running on the Francisco West roadway improvements between Rice Dr and Second St. The old roadway has been completely removed, and the contractor is diligently working on the underground work. To date, lengthy sections of new storm drain pipe have been installed. Rice Dr remains open as a detour route, and will be for some time until the contractor begins working on the new signalized intersection at Rice/Francisco West.
