San Rafael residents lead Earth Day clean-ups

Several neighborhood clean-ups were held around San Rafael on Saturday, April 22. Girl Scout Troop 10428 hosted a clean-up in the Sun Valley neighborhood while other volunteers hosted clean-ups at both the Target and Pickleweed ends of Shoreline Path. 101 Surf Sports held its 12th annual Earth Day clean-up, with more than 40 volunteers hitting the water to pull debris (including printers and chairs!) out of the canal via kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. ABC 7 news stopped by to capture the action as part of their Bay Area Earth Day coverage.
