This week’s Seeds of Hope Service Fair and Luncheon at the San Rafael Community Center brought together over 230 people from across the community. The focus of this event was warm clothing and preparing for the colder months. With the recent rain and chilly weather in San Rafael, participants shared how grateful they were to have a place to come in, get warm, and connect with supportive services.

More than twenty partner organizations were on site offering housing support, health care, mental health services, legal assistance, employment resources, and other direct help. Marin Humane joined the event by providing pet food and connecting people to free spay and neuter services, which many attendees appreciated. Everyone enjoyed a hot meal, good company, and a welcoming atmosphere. One highlight of the day was seeing each person leave not only with the services they needed, but also with to-go food bags and water to help them through the week.

We want to thank all of our partners and volunteers who showed up with kindness, energy, and a genuine commitment to caring for our neighbors.

The next Seeds of Hope event will be on March 2, 2026. If you would like to volunteer or support future events, please contact Lynn Murphy at (415) 485-3489 or 581@srpd.org.
