Is there an exemption from the tax for senior citizens?

Yes, persons over the age of 65 years who own a beneficial interest in a parcel and who use the parcel as their principal place of residence may apply for an optional exemption from the Measure P parcel tax.  The City is currently developing a process for filing for the exemption and will have more information for those that are interested in an exemption the coming months.
