What we heard from the community…
- They want to see a greater police presence in the Canal neighborhood to increase feelings of safety and security.
- They want to be able to leave their belongings in their cars and not have them robbed.
- They want to walk down the street in peace without fear of harm or harassment.
- They want the police to respond to their calls for service more quickly.
- They want more streetlights to make it safer to walk at night.
- They want surveillance cameras in the Canal neighborhood.
- They want more traffic control, due to concerns about speeding, side shows, and not stopping at stop signs.
- They want better security around schools.
