During the current public health crisis, the City of San Rafael remains committed to protecting the health and safety of community members and employees, while also striving to deliver public services to the greatest extent possible. The Fire Department still is responding to emergency calls and our stations are fully staffed 24/7. To assure that we keep our staff healthy and continuously available to respond to your needs, our Firefighters and Paramedics are wearing personal protective equipment (including face masks) as needed, practicing social distancing to the extent possible, and asking screening questions about exposure to COVID-19, positive tests, and/or symptoms.
Additionally, in preparation for fire season, vegetation inspections continue with adjustments to provide for staff and resident safety. Please see our Vegetation Management page for more information. Likewise, our Fire Prevention Bureau continues safety inspections with modifications and can be contacted at 415-485-3308.
