PROJECT SCHEDULE CHANGED for NB US 101 Central San Rafael full weekend full off-ramp closure (10/22 – 10/23)

Due to weather conditions, the dates and closure times for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) 101 NB Central San Rafael Off-Ramp Bridge Replacement project have now changed. The closure will start on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm and reopen on Saturday, October 23 at 12 pm. Please note: these dates and times are subject to change and is dependent on weather conditions.

If you would like to learn more about the proposed roadway detours, images can be found on the Caltrans project website. In addition, Caltrans recently presented an informational report at the October 4 City Council meeting. Check it out to learn more about the project!

Please be mindful of the detours that will be in place; please familiarize yourself  with the roadway detours which can be found on the Caltrans project websiteMotorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs. Residents and businesses may temporarily experience increased noise levels during this operation. This work is a part of several on-going construction projects along US-101, starting at the Golden Gate Bridge, progressing through Sausalito, and concluding in San Rafael until early winter of 2021. Advisories will be issued for each phase of work, and updates can be found at the Caltrans project website and City of San Rafael project website.
