Lifeguard (Pay scale $17.00-$26.37)
- Current certification desired but not required. American Red Cross Lifeguard training provided in-house, to applicants who are offered a conditional job offer. Those taking the training in house, will be required to pay $42 certification fee and commit to working the season.
- Must have good decision-making capabilities, communication skills, punctual, be able to manage their own schedule, decide when to act in an emergency, take initiative on the pool deck, be willing to clean locker rooms, clean up after incidents in the pool or on the deck, take out garbage and other duties as assigned.
- Minimum age to apply is 15 and must be able to obtain Lifeguard certification prior to starting.
Head Lifeguard (Pay scale $19.25-$29.86)
- Current certification desired but not required. American Red Cross Lifeguard training provided in-house, to applicants who are offered a conditional job offer. Those taking the training in house, will be required to pay $42 certification fee and commit to working the season.
- Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor certification are highly preferred.
- Head Lifeguards are responsible for directly assisting Program Coordinator and Senior Recreation Supervisor with training, customer service, staff management, staff scheduling, customer support, emergency situations, swim lesson coordination and other general duties.
- This position involves supervision, decision making and staff management. Ideal candidates will serve as a lifeguard and swim instructor when necessary and be able to fulfill all duties that a lifeguard or swim instructor is assigned and will be the person in charge on the pool deck during assigned shifts.
- A minimum of two years pool guarding experience or management experience is highly desirable.
Swim Instructors (Pay scale $17.50-$27.15)
- Must have or be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Training and experience is highly desired but not required. Must be able to teach group and private swimming lessons. Training provided.
- Swim Instructors may be assigned to weekend, weekday group or private lessons.
- Excellent communication skills, energy and excitement for teaching swimming and ability to connect with adults and children.
- Minimum 14 years of age, enjoy working with children; safety minded, good communication skills, and previous experience as a competitive swimmer or working with children.
Pool Cashier (Pay scale $15.50-$23.27)
- Must have or be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
- The Pool Cashier is responsible for receiving and processing daily pool admissions, season passes, operating the cash register and maintaining security and accuracy of funds.
- Minimum 14 years of age; safety minded, excellent communication and customer service skills.
Recreation Specialist for Camp TL (Pay scale $21.00-$32.58)
- Must have or be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED and First Aid. Lifeguard Training certification preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work the weeks the camp is scheduled. Sessions are Monday – Friday between June 12-August 4 and attend trainings in late May/early June. No camp week of July 3.
- The Recreation Specialist serves as the Camp Director and is responsible for the planning and implementation of camp activities including games, sports and arts and crafts. They are responsible for day-to-day safety, parent communication, instruction and more. Must be detailed orientated, safety minded, comfortable dealing with parents, comfortable in the water and be willing to engage with participants.
- Previous experience working with children is required.
- Applicants must entering 12th grade or higher.
Recreation Leader for Camp TL (Pay scale $15.50-$23.27)
- Must have or be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
- Must be able to work the weeks the camp is scheduled. Sessions are Monday – Friday between June 12-August 4 and attend trainings in late May/early June. No camp week of July 3.
- The Recreation Leader is responsible for helping to organize and lead activities, engaging with campers, communicating with parents and will assist with all camp related activities.
- Previous experience working with children desired.
- Minimum 14 years of age, enjoy working with children; safety minded and good communication skills.
Recreation Leader for Jr. Lifeguard Camp (Pay scale $15.50-$23.27)
- Must be able to work the weeks the camp is scheduled. Session are Monday – Friday between June 12 -July 28 and attend trainings in late May/early June. No camp week of July 3.
- The Recreation Leader is responsible for helping to organize and lead camp activities, have strong leadership and communication skills, and have the ability to engage with youth. Must be comfortable in the water and will assist with instruction of Lifeguard course materials.
- Previous experience working with youth desired.
- Minimum age to apply is 15 and must be able to obtain Lifeguard certification prior to camp starting.
