This year has been hard on Parking Services buggies. The Vehicle Maintenance Division has had to take many out of service due to parts unavailability and high repair costs. The buggy in this photo has frame damage that cannot be repaired safely and therefor had to be taken out of service. Mechanic Jay Arieta is in the process of changing out transmissions into another broken down buggy so we can put it back into service.
Since the current choice of EV buggy has proven to be unreliable, we have identified a replacement manufacturer with a less expensive and more reliable vehicle. As we replace the buggies, we will recommend the better buggy to Council.
