Under a new County program, single-family homeowners in San Rafael can apply for rebates from $250 to $4,500 to switch from fossil fuel appliances, such as gas or propane stoves, water heaters, and furnaces, to high-efficiency electric appliances. The rebates help offset the cost of swapping gas or propane for electric.
