General Plan Overview Powerpoint being presented at the B Street Community Center

The City of San Rafael completed its first round of community meetings on the General Plan during October 2018.  Three meetings were convened: October 3 (San Rafael Community Center at B Street), October 17 (Terra Linda Recreation Center), and October 27 (Albert Boro Community Center).  The October 27 meeting included two concurrent workshops in adjacent rooms, including one in English and one in Spanish.  Each meeting included an introductory presentation on the General Plan, followed by a 90-minute audience “polling” exercise.  Participants were asked to weigh in on issues relating to land use and growth, transportation, housing, building heights, resource conservation, natural hazards, and City services using individual polling devices, with real time results displayed on a large screen.  Responses were discussed after each question.
