As part of the City’s General Plan 2040 update, we’re partnering with four technical consultants to assist us with getting the General Plan done: Placeworks, Inc.; Opticos Design, Inc.; BAE Urban Economics, Inc.; and Fehr & Peers Associates, Inc. With such a large project, the General Plan 2040 update will require support with things like environmental impact review (EIR) work, Downtown Precise Plan preparation, economic and fiscal analysis, and transportation planning support. To help support this project, the City will be leveraging a $500,000 One Bay Area (OBAG) grant to pay for the Downtown Precise Plan portion of the General Plan update.
