Caltrans 101 NB off ramp replacement detours for october closure

Last week, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) was scheduled to fully close the 101 Northbound Central San Rafael exit for the full weekend for work on the 101 NB Central San Rafael Off-Ramp Bridge Replacement project. Due to weather conditions, they had to shorten the closure. Subsequently, to complete the remaining work, Caltrans will be fully closing the offramp from Saturday, October 30 at 9 pm to Sunday, October 31 at 12 pm. Please note: these dates and times are subject to change and is dependent on weather conditions.

Please be mindful of the detours that will be in place; please familiarize yourself  with the roadway detours which can be found on the Caltrans project websiteMotorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs. Residents and businesses may temporarily experience increased noise levels during this operation. This work is a part of several on-going construction projects along US-101, starting at the Golden Gate Bridge, progressing through Sausalito, and concluding in San Rafael until early winter of 2021. Advisories will be issued for each phase of work, and updates can be found at the Caltrans project website and City of San Rafael project website.
