5/1/18 – Francisco Blvd East Sidewalk Improvement Project RFP

Posted on May 1, 2018

The City of San Rafael (City) hereby requests proposals from qualified engineering Consultants for planning and construction support on the Francisco Boulevard East Sidewalk Improvement project.   Design and environmental clearance of this project was originally funded by a federal Non-motorized Transportation Pilot Program (NTPP) grant. The City has procured construction funding through the Active Transportation Program.

At this time, the City is prepared to begin working with property owners and utility companies in order to secure the Right of Way Certification form through Caltrans Local Assistance. The scope of work shall also include any necessary documents to receive a re-validation of the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) document. Additionally, the City is seeking a Consultant to provide construction support services throughout construction and to augment City staffing levels.

Proposals shall be submitted by firms that have a capable and demonstrable background in the type of work described in the section entitled “Scope of Work” of this notice.  In addition, all interested firms shall have sufficient, readily available resources, in the form of trained personnel, support services, specialized consultants and financial resources, to carry out the work without delay or shortcomings.
