AFS Summer Social Event- Ice Cream!

Our world is going global.
More than ever, our world is interconnected and the key to thriving is being intercultural. Learn about opportunities to explore another culture through being an exchange student or hosting an international student.
Hear the experiences and stories of local current and past exchange students and their families.

This is an opportunity for students, families, and community members to learn more about different cultural exchange opportunities and the benefits of studying abroad. Past AFS participants as well as local AFS volunteers will be present to answer questions and talk about their experiences.
Come learn about different international exchange opportunities with AFS, the largest and most established exchange program in the world (www.afsusa.org)! AFS gives over $3 million dollars in scholarships to students every year.
Every year SF Bay Area families host about 35 international AFS exchange students who are here to learn about US culture. Every year about 35 local students study abroad for a year, semester, or summer.
AFS is a nonprofit, international educational exchange organization, working towards a more peaceful and just world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.
