Public Works crews from the Street Division have begun removing accumulated sediment and cattails from the City of San Rafael drainage channels. Our crews clearing about 4 miles and 900 tons of material from City of San Rafael drainage channels. We will be clearing the channels along the 580 Highway and Manuel T. Freitas Parkway. By doing preventive maintenance such as this, Public Works reduces the risk of flooding and damage to private and public property.
Last week our crews cleared 17.15 tons from Manuel T. Freitas Parkway!
