Dixon Site Visit for Parking Program Development

Posted on July 8, 2024

Our consultant team for the Residential Parking Permit Program, Dixon Unlimited, will be in the City on Tuesday, July 9, to conduct site visits and meet with City staff throughout the day. They will be conducting research and gathering insights to help design and make recommendations for the new parking program. The team will engage with several departments, including Public Works, to discuss traffic flow and potential projects, Parking Enforcement to understand current enforcement practices and participate in ride-a-longs during day and evening hours, Emergency Management for road access and existing parking programs, and Finance to review fee structures. Additionally, they will meet with the City’s Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) consultant to discuss equity goals and resident experiences. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance Dixon’s understanding of the City’s parking services and help them create a well-rounded and effective parking program for the community.
