Concerns Handled by Other Agencies

Sab Rafael Public Works Dept can only assist at locations within the city’s jurisdiction. If your concern falls outside of this border, you will want to contact:

Marin County Public Works

They have an online reporting system you can find here: https://publicworks.marincounty.gov/#/city/report

The City does not maintain the utility poles. These are maintained by various agencies – you will want to contact them directly to let them know of the issue:

The wire/pole is closest to the ground: These are communication poles.

These are maintained by more than one agency – most likely AT&T or Xfinity.  You can call either one and they will investigate the issue.

AT&T: 1-800-288-2020

Xfinity: 1-800-934-6489

(note: you do not have to have an account with these companies, but you will need to ask to speak with a representative when you call.)

If possible, note the number on the pole so that you can share that with agency representative. ex:

utility pole number

The wire/pole is higher up: These are PG&E poles.

You can notify PG&E in various ways. Please see their website here: PG&E Potential Safety Issue

You can also call: 1-800-743-5000

The Dept of Public Works does not handle these types of concerns.  You will want to contact the Marin Humane Society and provide them with as much as information as possible so that they can take care of the animal.  They provide this service 7 days a week.

Marin Humane Society
