How to schedule a construction inspection:

We take your time seriously, so when you schedule an inspection it will be scheduled for the next business day only! This means if you want an inspection on a specific day, you will need call the day before.  Construction inspections are performed Monday through Thursday and Fire inspections are performed Monday through Friday.

24-Hour Inspection Request Line: (415) 485-3365

The cut-off time to either schedule or cancel an inspection for the current business day is 12:00 a.m. midnight. Otherwise please call (415) 485- 3367 during normal business hours to cancel your inspection.

When you call our 24-Hour Inspection Request Line, you will be asked to key-in your site-specific permit number, the inspection code on the job card provided at the time of permit issuance, a contact phone number, and your preference for a morning or afternoon inspection. Morning inspections are scheduled between 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. and afternoon inspections are scheduled between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. You may schedule multiple inspections during a call for the same permit number.

You will receive an automated confirmation call on the morning of the inspection providing you with your scheduled timeframe for the inspection.

Your request to schedule an inspection will be denied if fees are due; your permit has expired; and/or there is a hold on the project

Use your inspection record card as a guide to scheduling inspections. The card is organized by inspection type and will list inspection codes as they are normally sequenced for your project.  Inspection requests are automatically entered into our system at 12:00 midnight each inspection day. Any requests called in after that time will be scheduled for the following inspection day.

Your permit will expire if no inspections are performed within 180 days of issuance or if work is abandoned for more than 180 days, as evidenced by no approved inspections and you will not be able to schedule an inspection.

To schedule with the following; you will need to contact them directly:
