In December, the City Council approved an urgency cannabis business ordinance that allows for a limited number of medical cannabis commercial operations including: cannabis testing labs, infused product manufacturing, and non-storefront medical cannabis delivery, as well as prohibiting cultivation and retail storefronts. This action established only a general regulatory framework, with the details of the licensing requirements and zoning restrictions for cannabis businesses to be established by subsequent City Council action.
