California Environmental Quality Act Documents
Consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the City has prepared a Revised Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration and published a notice of intent to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration. The Revised Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration is being made available for public review for a period of 20 days. The public review period commences on Saturday, August 14, 2021 and closes Friday, September 3, 2021. Written comments on the Revised Initial Study/ Mitigated Negative Declaration must be submitted by the close of the public review period.
Based upon the public comments on the Re-circulated Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration, a Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and Response to Comments was prepared and are provided below:

Pursuant to the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines, an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared and is now available for a public review period of 20 days. The public review period commences on Saturday, August 14, 2021 and closes Friday, September 3, 2021. Written comments on the Revised Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration must be submitted to the email noted above by the close of the public review period. The Planning Commission considered this project on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. On that date, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the project to the City Council and requested that the Design Review Board evaluate the use of Coast Redwoods as part of the project landscaping. This will be considered by the Design Review Board at its November 16, 2021 meeting. The date of a future City Council public hearing has not been set.
