The San Rafael Sanitation District is nearing the completion of two sewer mainline improvement projects: the 2018 Sewer Pipe Repair & Replacement Project and the Forbes Avenue Sewer Improvements Project. The District’s contractor, D’Arcy & Harty Construction, has been installing the new sewer pipelines since April of this year.
Together, these projects have replaced over 7,000 lineal feet (over a mile!) of sewer pipeline throughout the City of San Rafael over this summer. These two projects have also required careful coordination with multiple utilities and public agencies including PG&E, Marin Municipal Water District, and Caltrans. The expected completion date for all ongoing construction items is Friday, September 13th.
