12/07/18 – Coordination of Construction Downtown

With a lot of large projects happening in our hustling and bustling downtown, the folks in the Traffic Engineering and Land Development Division are working hard to continue coordinating with all the general contractors, subconsultants, and agencies that have their hands in everything from water to sewer to sidewalk repair to pavement restoration. Our inspectors are focusing on communication, both with the general contractors and subconsultants and business owners impacted by the work. This has been effective, as the contractors are able to get the work done all while safely rerouting pedestrians and keeping cars moving through the area. The business owners are also appreciative of the attention from City staff. Our division is also working on a contact list of all parties involved in work in the public right-of-way, so issues can be addressed as efficiently as possible.
