Library Board of Trustees
The Library Board of Trustees is an advisory board with responsibility to:
Provide support for the Director
Support the Library Foundation in its quest for a new library
Serve as advocates for the Library to the City Council
Help increase the visibility of the Library in the community
Members are appointed for four-year terms by the City Council. Current Library Trustees are:
Charles (Chuck) Stuckey, President (through April 2007)
Robert Barnett (through April 2007)
Glena Coleman (through April 2009)
Sean Prendiville (through April 2007)
Pat Zentner (through April 2009)
Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Library. All meetings are open to the public.
The Board is interested in hearing from you! In particular, we would love to know, first, whether you think San Rafael needs a new library, and if so, what specific features you would be interested in seeing in a future library facility for San Rafael. Please send us your ideas. (We've included links, below, to some recently-constructed Bay Area libraries to help pique your interest and enthusiasm!)
