Citations and Appeals Information

CITATION AND APPEAL INFORMATION

Citation Payments and/or Appeal requests are required within 21 days of the violation or 14 days after the mailing of delinquent parking violation.

Failure to respond to a citation will result in late charges being added to the parking fine and/or a hold on DMV vehicle registration. You will also relinquish your right to contest the citation.

Payments and/or Appeals must be submitted in writing. Make sure you provide your name, contact information and citation number.

As soon as an Appeal request is received the citation will be placed on hold and a response letter will be mailed to you within 1 or 2 weeks depending on the case.

Handicapped Placard Citations:

If you received a citation for parking in a handicapped space because you forgot to display your placard please mail the following documentation within 21 days of the violation:

  • Copy of Disabled Placard
  • Copy of Placard Registration document (Issued by DMV along with placard) (This is NOT your vehicle Registration or Insurance card)
  • Letter from Placard Holder Authorizing you to use placard on your vehicle. (If the placard is NOT on your name)
  • Copy of PLACARD HOLDER Driver’s License or I.D

(Important Note, Please Read: Valid placard and registration must have been issued before citation date. An application for disabled placard DOES NOT substitute the actual placard. A valid unexpired placard must be displayed at the time of parking.)
