Household Hazardous Waste Program
The San Rafael Fire Department manages the Countywide Household Hazardous Waste Program for every city except Novato. This program is conducted through a cooperative effort with Marin Recycling Center (see map link below) and offers residents and small business owners an easy and efficient method of eliminating hazardous waste from the water and landfill systems in the County.
Hazardous Materials Program
The Fire Prevention Bureau can assist a business to comply with State and Federal laws regarding the proper storage and handling of hazardous materials at their site. You can e-mail the Fire Prevention Bureau or call their office during regular business hours at 415-485-3308.
