Vegetation Management
The Fire Prevention Bureau manages the City’s Vegetation Management Program. This program is designed in cooperation with the local business and homeowners in the community to assure vegetation is adequately cleared and fire risk is reduced throughout the City. Deputy Fire Marshal Bradley Mark manages this program and works directly with various contractors to arrange clearing projects in public open space and targeted neighborhoods. The Fire Department will also assist neighborhood groups to coordinate large scale vegetation clearing efforts - you can contact the Fire Prevention Bureau using our website Request Form or by calling their office during regular business hours at 415-485-3488.
