The Community Development Department is composed of three divisions: Planning, Building & Fire Prevention, and Code Enforcement.
The Planning Division is responsible for processing applications for new development and for long range planning of the City, including maintaining the General Plan which establishes policies for future growth. The Planning Division provides staff support for the Planning Commission and Design Review Board. The Planning Division provides handouts to help make application process easier. The Code Enforcement Division enforces provisions of the Zoning Ordinance
