Councilman Miller’s path has led from service in the Church to managing programs for the aging for the US Department of Health and Human Development, from administering Peace Corps in North Borneo to serving as Operations Chief at the San Francisco American Indian Center. No stranger to business and economic dynamics, he owned and operated Smoothill Sports Distributors for over twenty years.
He is committed to a city governance that engages residents, stakeholders and other partners in the development of a sustainable network of diverse, distinct neighborhoods. Assisting communities of place, interest, values and cultures in establishing their goals of social and economic betterment and bringing to them resources so they can accomplish those goals stand out as essential means to accomplish this community-based governance.
Councilman Cyr Miller’s core values are to provide opportunities for communities, to work for social equity and economic justice, and to care for this wondrous earth.
